GangCity on mobile now feels like a real app

Published on 5 August 2026

Playing GangCity on your phone? A lot has changed under the hood over the past few weeks. No new crimes or features this time, but a series of improvements that make the game on mobile feel faster, smoother and more like a real app.

A redesigned bottom bar

The bottom bar on mobile now has sharper icons and a clearer layout: Crime, Prison, Messages, Cafe and a More button are always within reach. Tap Crime and you immediately see all your crimes with their cooldowns listed — no more hunting through a menu. The More button opens a slide-out panel with shortcuts to your family, the bank and events, among other things, with small badges showing where there's something new to do.

It feels faster

Buttons now visibly react to your tap, and a thin loading bar briefly appears at the top when switching pages, so it's clear something is happening. Fixed parts of the app are also cached locally, which makes GangCity noticeably faster to start up on mobile. And pulling down at the top of a page instantly refreshes it — just like you'd expect from other apps.

Typing without the hassle

A classic mobile problem: you open the keyboard to type, and your input field disappears behind it. That's now fixed, including in the cafe and in messages. The screen resizes neatly as soon as the keyboard opens, on both Android and iPhone, and the top bar and bottom bar temporarily hide so you can see more of the chat or page while typing.

More than just a mobile site

For anyone who has installed GangCity as an app on their phone: that installation is now more solid, with its own splash screen and background processing that makes the whole thing more reliable. The end goal remains the same as always — that you can keep playing just as easily on the street, on the bus or between two crimes as you can behind your PC. New to mobile?
