Titles are honorary names that appear next to your player name and show what you've achieved. Some you earn by being the best in a category, others are a permanent honor, and others are purely cosmetic. You can show one title at a time, set via your profile. An overview of the current title holders can be found on the Statistics page under the Titles tab.
These titles automatically go to the player (or family) currently leading a specific category. They rotate: fall out of the lead, and you lose the title again. They're the most coveted honors, because they prove you're currently the best.
The two rarest titles of all. They're each only awarded once per season and remain yours once claimed — a place in GangCity history:
Bring new players to GangCity who stay active, and you climb through three recruiter titles. You claim them yourself once you reach the milestone:
Families earn their own titles. Through the season competition a family can become Ruling, Rival or Ambitious Family each month, and whoever completes the storyline becomes an Untouchable Family. Families also display their lasting standing based on family respect: from Rising to Legendary Family.
Besides earned titles, there are purely cosmetic titles you can buy with GC credits, such as Street King, Night Prowler, The Shadow, Kingpin and Iron Fist. They give no gameplay advantage — they're purely for style — and are temporary in nature. That way you stand out without it influencing the competition.
